MEET ABDEL-JELEEL TAIWO ADEKUNLE  OLASUPO.

Olasupo was born, some 50 years ago, at Dosunmu Ajiwe Court, on Oshodi Street in Epetedo Area of Lagos Island. Olasupo spent most of his childhood live at he Lagos Island area of Lagos State.

Also, for his elementary school education, he attended Jamatul Islamiyat Primary on Patey Street, still on the Island. He later proceeded to Jubril Martins Memorial Grammar School III, now known as Iponri Grammar School in Abule Nla, Costain Area.

After completing his University education at  the College of Staten Island, City University of New York, Olasupo joined the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance as a Miscellaneous Tax Auditor at the Capital Region Office (CRO), that's in Albany; New York, United State of America.

In furtherance of his education, he attended the State University at Albany for his post graduate course. Prior to now, he had served as a Revenue Consultant to many Lagos Government as well as LCDA's in Lagos State.

Presently, Taiwo works with the Lagos State Government through Eti-Osa Local Government, Iru-Victoria Island Local Council Development Area as the Chairman Revenue Committee.

He's happily married with kids. Supo as fondly called by his friend and associates has been in active politics since 1993 and he's one of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s,the National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bourdillon School of Poliitics. He's a  stalwart of APC.

Just before the Sallah celebration, Fashina Mobolaji Shakiru publisher of FlycomNews caught up with  Abdel-Jeleel Taiwo Adekunle Olasupo, at a get together organized by one of his friends in Victoria Island.

He shed more light on his passion to  turn Lagos Island East to a city with modern infrastructures. Further, to develop as well as creating a conducive environment for businesses.

Speaking to FlycomNews on some of the issues that directly affects his constituents, Olasupo indicated that most roads on this part of Lagos Island East Council needs serious attention as most of the roads are not motorable, there are too much potholes.

 “ There's an urgent need for palliative  measures.” he said. On the issue of flood, he added that most channel systems are blocked with refuse, as a result, whenever rain falls, the drainages are flooded and this makes  it hard for our people to go about there normal businesses.

“  This is a great challenge that needs urgent attention.” he commented

He commented on the issue of security and stressed that it's a dire situation. Although he pointed out that the city is relatively calm now due to the efforts of the present administration.

Additionally, he promised to lighten up the entire city as street lights will be restored to forestall and prevent harassment of innocent citizens by hoodlums.

Furthermore, Olasupo spoke briefly about the present condition of our Health Centers and primary health care facilities. Also, ae spoke about our  education system. He stated that most of the primary school buildings need to be re-habilitated. He cited Jamatul Islamiyah as case  study as the school has turned  to an abattoir.

At the end of the interview, hee made it clear that his administration will look inward to source for revenue and cut down dependency on federal and state allocations.
