OYEKAN EMPOWERS YOUTH OF WARD C1 LAGOS ISLAND LOCAL GOVERNMENT.|Fashina Mobolaji Shakiru

Deputy Leader, Honourable Councillor Taiwo Oyekan representing ward C1 Lagos Island Local Government has empowered over 25 youth in his constituency especially the artisan and petty traders in a recent time.

In a goodwill message, he said the program is there second  empowerment scheme to the good people  of my ward aside from the executions  and  commissioned of projects.  This year's edition focused majorily to empower the youths by supporting them with major simple kit machine tools to enhance their productivities in their various businesses and petty trading, Oyekan disclosed.

Oyekan urges the beneficiaries to make use of this opportunity and utilize them properly.  The selection of the beneficiaries not based on partisanship only but consider some people who are not  members of our party, at least the scheme for anyone in needs to engage with something while  some are very in needs to be empower by supporting and engaged them with something they can do.

Alhaji A.O Sodiq,  Chairman All Progressive Congress (APC)  Lagos Island said appreciate the efforts of the councillor to embark on this wonderful program for having the heart to empower the youth from his own constituency as this a great plus to his party All Progressive Congress (APC) in Lagos island, Lagos state Particularly of Nigeria .

He further said that APC party still have more programs for the people to benefits under the current administration of Executive Chairman of Lagos Island Local Government right Honourable Prince Tijani Adetoyese Olusi and most of his legislative Councillors has been following his footsteps by emulates the Council Boss to delivered dividends of Democracy to the good people of Lagos Island as a whole.

Council Leader Lagos Island local Government representing ward B1, Honourable Hakeeem Ajose  says the lower council chamber will continue to encourage all honourable colleagues to strive to do more in  their various constituencies. Today, also marks another great joy for him as my fellow member can still put his resources together to empower his people in ward C1 Lagos island.

Majority Leader Honourable Kudus Davies representing ward A3 enlightened the audience and good people of Lagos Island that the work of legislative councillors is to represent and make laws.
This is the major responsibilities and duties of every council legislative  while urged the people to understand and cooperate with them as there are many tasks ahead of the councillors representing each wards.

Davies commends the efforts of Honourable Taiwo Oyekan for the laudable program put together by him. The work of the councillors not to attend to the immediate needs of any individuals and of personal interest of anyone but collective needs to the generality that will benefits everybody in the society is the major concerns and responsibility of every councillors

According to him,  people should stop putting pressure on the councillors for only individual needs than what will benefits the people as a whole, Davies advised.

One of the beneficiaries who speaks with Flycomnews Miss Oniga Omotola Kafilat said this is very impressive program by a councillor and decided to give this to the people particularly as one of the beneficiaries very happy, appreciate and God will continue to bless and guide Honourable Taiwo Oyekan for the assistance of the people who are in needs.

2019: Afenifere Faction Endorses Buhari

A faction of Afenifere, a pan Yoruba social-cultural group, on Tuesday in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari as its candidate for the February 16th election. The Senator Ayo Fasanmi-led faction said it took the decision because of Buhari’s sterling performances. At the endorsement which took place at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Chief Ayo Fasanmi, Deputy Governor of Lagos and Ogun States, Mrs. Idiat Adebule and Mrs. Yetunde Onanuga and former Minister, Demola Seriki who represented Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
