AFINNI SET TO INAUGURATE 10 BOREHOLES ACROSS LAGOS ISLAND EAST | FLYCOMNEWS

In the midst of COVID-19, ease of ensuring constant availability of drinkable water, Lagos Lawmaker Hon., Suliamon Olarenwaju Afinni, representing Lagos Island Constituency II set to inaugurate rehabilitation of ten drinkable boreholes water through physical planning and project committee across Lagos Island East.

According to Mr. Sola Jones, Chairman physical and planning project committee said, this exists to provide essential potable and drinkable water in all the ten wards in Lagos Island Constituency II.

The Chairman, appreciate the Hon Afinni's milestone, unrelenting efforts and contribution to his constituency.


The project which designed across the ten wards in Lagos Island East from ward D1 Branco, ward D2/3 Campbell, ward E1 Anikotamo, ward E2 Andrew, ward E3 Inabere Ward F1 Lawson.

Others are ward F2  Salu Court, F3 Okesuna, Kadiri Court, ward G1 Oshodi,  outside Dosunmu compound, Ward G2  Dumare Street, Epetedo area.

Speaking with Flycomnews correspondent Fashina Shakiru, phone conversation Afinni noted, the borehole is reconstruction project as a utility to service the public and ease stress of going miles to search for water.

Afinni urged Lagos Island East residents and committee on physical planning and project to ensure proper monitor and maintenance of the project for the interest of public realms.

 Access water is essential for domestic use in the environment in a current situation of the novel corona virus pandemic, Afinni added.

2019: Afenifere Faction Endorses Buhari

A faction of Afenifere, a pan Yoruba social-cultural group, on Tuesday in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari as its candidate for the February 16th election. The Senator Ayo Fasanmi-led faction said it took the decision because of Buhari’s sterling performances. At the endorsement which took place at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Chief Ayo Fasanmi, Deputy Governor of Lagos and Ogun States, Mrs. Idiat Adebule and Mrs. Yetunde Onanuga and former Minister, Demola Seriki who represented Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
