DAVIES LAUNCHES TRADEMONI TO WARDA3 IN OKE ARIN MARKET, LAGOS ISLAND.
The joy of the people of Oke Arin community in Lagos lsland, Lagos state knew no bound as "Free Trademoni" was launched by honourable Councillor Qudus Davies Majority leader representing Ward A3 Lagos lsland local government on Thursday 29th November 2018, the launched was a product through which traders could have access to free financial assistance for supporting Petty traders business scheme.
Performing his welcome addressed speech which tagged "Business and Petty traders support scheme" as a genuine assistance to the small business owners and Petty traders within community with token amount of money to expand their businesses and trades. As presently, the federal government under the platform of our great party (APC) is exhibiting similar programme to assist traders. The programme is widely known "Trader Moni/ Market Moni". It is designed to help petty traders to expand their trades through the provision of collateral free loans of #10,000:00. The loans are repayable within a period of six month. Under the scheme, beneficiaries can get access to a higher facility ranging from #15,000:00 to #50,000:00 when they repay the #10,000:00 within the stipulated time, Davies said.
According to honourable Davies while responding to questions from Islanders Magazine bringing "Business and Petty traders support scheme" similarly to the initiative of the federal government "trademoni" to the traders at door steps in Lagos lsland local government ward A3 the councillor said given out each of the beneficiaries #10,000:00 free to support their businesses and trades and twenty (20) beneficiaries were carefully selected to include all the interest groups in the community especially marketers, residents, party members, petty traders, artisan, market women and men to enjoy this remarkable opportunities. He further expressed satisfactory with the overwhelmed turnout with various support from council chairman, party elders, party leaders, councillors party members and faithfully well wishers to this year's edition. He also advised the beneficiaries they should endeavor to utilized the money well in order to boost their petty businesses activities
Mrs Funke Shobukola representative of Lagos State Empowerment Trust Fund (LSETF) introduced and outlined the processing of having access to loans advantages facilities provided by Lagos state government through the Lagos State Empowerment Trust Fund (LSETF) and Olusi: lsland of Hope in partnership with (LSETF) while Shobukola outlining the conditions of access to loans facilities, mentioned four documents needed; Tax certificate, LASSRA Card, Bank Statement and Valid means of Identification. Existing business small enterprises qualified to request from #50,000 to 250,000, Olusi: Island of Hope partnership is #50,000 to #200,000.
Hon Davies urges on the issue of waste management, fire outbreaks, shop extensions has causes a lots of human errors, traffic, criminal activities and all these can be corrected through self discipline and total abstinence and caution the developers against illegal actions of the developers that blocking the drainages with the remnants of their building materials during construction should be considered as immortal indulgence. He also urged the Community Development Associations are empower to report any builders that engage in such discriminatory attitude to appropriate authorities.
Vice Chairman Honourable Alhaji Wajud Bashorun gave sound remarkable appreciation and recommendations for Honourable Davies for buying the ideas and initiative of federal government and having implemented before now by Executive Chairman Lagos lsland Local Government Honourable Tijani Adetoyose Olusi and urged all others councilors to replicate the same things in their wards. He however, urged everyone and market leaders
to endeavors to get their permanent voter's cards ready and make sure that they all votes for Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and promised of massive 6 Million votes in Lagos state come 2019 general election.
