Two weeks after, the building collapsed at Ita Faji Lagos Island report have it that another  collapse building just occurred today Monday 25th March 2019 on 2 Kakawa Street, is a residential building. Another building has collapsed on Lagos Island, bring to three the number of building collapses withness in that section of Lagos in the last two weeks. According to eyewitness who spoke with Flycomnews, said that building just collapse now at house number 2 Kakawa Street, Lagos Island, Lagos. The eyewitness yet to ascertain the number of people trapped in the rubble as at time filling this report.

 Building Collapse: NAPPS urges proprietors to build schools themselves The Lagos State chapter of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) has urged private school owners to endeavour to building their school structures themselves, rather than depend on a leased or developers’ building to operate. The association’s President of the association, Mr Wasiu Adumadeyin, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Lagos that this was to ensure that the school building conformed with specified standard and that the quality of material used were of recommend quality. Adumadeyin spoke against the backdrop of the collapsed three-storey building housing a school at Ita-Faji area of Lagos Island which killed 20 people. NAN reports that the building collapsed on March 13 at about 10 a.m. when classes were ongoing and among those killed were school children, while 48 others were injured and some still receiving treatment in some public hospitals in Lagos. “

Oko Faji  Muslim Community Organise Prays  For Victims Ita Faji Building Collapse Fashina Mobolaji  Shakiru Flycomnews Precisely  a week today, that the unprecedented and sad incident of the three-storey building collapsed at Itafaji , in Lagos Island  Local Government where over 40 people involved. Cosequently, the Oko Faji Muslim Community has deemed necessary to organise  prayers for the victims of the ill-fated building.  Prayers were  also offered to the  families of the deceased. The  Muslim Cleric implored  everyone absorbed the incident  as the will of God. The President General of Oko Faji Muslim community District, Alhaji Ahmed Oladosu Fashola offered prayers for the victims and wish the injured pupils quick recovery at the various hospitals. NAPPS SYMPATHISES WITH THE VICTIMS OF COLLAPSE BUILDING. Fashina Mobolaji Shakiru The President  National Association of Proprietors of Private School, Mr Wasiu Ademuadeyin and his members paid courtesy call to the victims of the collapsed building  Lagos Island General Hospital. Mr Ademuadeyin, while expressing his condolences to the bereaved family, he also  prayed for the quick convalescence of those that were injured. “We declared the incidence ‘’ a black Wednesday for our members”. We  were saddened by the news of   the young ones that were lost to the building mishap. In a press statement released, he said ‘’ we will further partner with Lagos State to ensure a thing like this, will never happen again in this industry." Possible measures will be taken by the association to curtail any future occurrence.
