Publisher of INN, Mr Gbolahan Odunsanya called me yesterday on 30th June when the vapors were getting set to pour with no sign of rays but clouds of rain, to inform me that Mr. Gbenga Omotoso worth celebrating, then I put a pen on paper, while reflected on the best words that best describe the amiable former Editor of  The Nation Newspaper and present Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Lagos

 In a world today, there are things largely judged by public perceptions, excellent performance, determination and appearance to the people in service, these qualities described what Prophet Isaiah portrays in the bible as little thinker, little worker, Mr omotoso is a figure to reckon with in the present administration of Lagos state.

The man as gentle as dove is one of the best brains Govenor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's cabinet never losses his temper easily, ebullient, jovial, articulate and concise in his dealings and public presentation when matters arising abreast  defending his principal both on social media and tradition media , this he carries out with a distinction.

 His talks at  Press Conference are polite, full of assurance for greater and brighter future of Lagos State.

As a Journalist, former Editor of  The Nation Newspaper, Omotoso writes with objectivity with flourishing humour and balance style reporting. His editorials are second to none.

In one of his commentaries touched my heart British Italian Guy Gargiulo: "Departure of a humanist" described the man as a philosophical and philanthropist who paid many less privilege children's school fees as principal,  Ajuwa Grammar School Okeagbo-Akoko, now in Ondo state. Hear him: He paid my school fees up to secondary school certificate before he left for London, stayed for a while and came back to Nigeria".

The message here is that Omotoso is a man of struggle who was not  born with a silver spoons but trained and developed himself to become a great and humble man who also contributes to the lives of others.

His understanding of various pen issues has created a niche for him in the field of Journalism.

Since his inception as the Commissioner of Information, Omotoso has demonstrated  huge dexterity in disseminating information especially the handling of  novel corona virus pandemic which has Lagos State an epicenter in Nigeria.

His position as the Commissioner for Information and Strategy under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has further amplified the acronym T.H.E.M.E which translates the present government's agenda;  T- Traffic Management and Transportation, H-Health and Environment, E- Education and Technology, M-Making Lagos 21st Century Economy and E-Entertainment and Tourism. Omotoso  has projected through his ministry the image of Lagos and its administration  to the society.

Also as a technocrat, Omotoso shows skill of expertise cum professionalism as someone who has a good grasp of  knowledge and technical no-how. The pen expert is indeed a blessing to  administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu
