As early as 8:32am on Thursday morning, 31st of January 2019, all roads that led to the major road of Ikorodu are blocked as party faithfuls, supporters, wards chairmen, elders, leaders, movers and shakers of the party across Ikorodu division defied access to Ikorodu and joined their counterparts from other divisions at the  campaign ground at Ikorodu Ferry Terminal, Lagos as  supporters were in different face-caps branded with inscriptions of candidates.

Babatunde Balogun, Chairman All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos state Chapter addressed the audience and supporters of the candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC) to ensure they cast their votes for all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the President Mohammadu Buhari, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, Honourable Bayo Osinawo,  Honourable  Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), Honourable Jimi Benson, Honourable Prince Rotimi Agunsoye, S.O.B, most especially, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu for governorship seat in Lagos State and all other State House of Assembly candidates across the state, and officially handed over the flag bearers to the APC candidates in ikorodu Division.

Deputy Governor Lagos state, Dr., Idiat Oluranti Adefusoye  in her remarks, stressed that the people of Lagos state must ensure to vote for continuity of developmental projects in Ikorodu division and Lagos state. The commitment of this present administration is to continue to strive with the development in all the divisions in Lagos state and urged the residents and the members of APC to vote for continuity in Lagos state. However, she said that lagosians should vote for all the candidates of the APC in Lagos state. 'Today, we are presenting our candidates to all the residents of Ikorodu division and the whole of Lagos state especially, Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo Olu/Dr Quadri Hamzat who are dependable, reliable and testable.  Come out enmass on February 16th for Presidential and National Assembly elections and March 2nd for Governorship and State House of Assembly elections and move Lagos state to the next level'.

The Incoming deputy governor, Dr Quadri Hamzat said people of Lagos state should not be deceived, People's Democratic party (PDP) has done nothing for the past 16 years and Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo Olu has promised the residents of Ishawo for compensation and Egbilara road consruction will be cmpleted and urged the people of Ikorodu division to come out enmass and cast their votes for Sanwo -Ikorodu.

Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo, the incoming governor of Lagos state promised the ikorodu people that more modern infrastructural development particularly, stadium, more construction of roads and many more, but they should not listen to the propagandas of Lagos state People's Democratic Party (PDP) that lagos state is under bondage and all these are ways of confusing the public. 'However, Lagos state strives for development and I am the sellable and marketable candidate for the people of Lagos state.
