LAGOS ISLAND, OLUSI Felicitates with Buhari as he emerges winner

The Executive Chairman of Lagos lsland local government, Honourable Tijani Adetoyose Olusi congratulates President Mohammadu Buhari and Vice president Professor Yem Osinbajo as they emerge winner for just concluded 2019 Presidential election.

President Mohammadu Buhari  was declared winner in mid early Wednesday morning 27th  February, 2019  by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman Professor Mohammdu Yakubu said having scored 15, 191, 847 to defeat Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 11, 262, 978 votes.

According to him, "we wish you success and wisdom in performing your tasks and duties to pilot the affairs of the country" Olusi said.

While appreciate the good people of Lagos lsland, we say a big Thank you for supporting and believing in All Progressives Congress (APC). Your unrelenting efforts and support doesn't go unnoticed.

We also implore you to come out enmass and perform your constitutional right again, come March 9th and endeavor to cast your votes for Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo Olu as a gubernatorial candidate and all state house of Assemble in Lagos state for All Progressives Congress (AP), Olusi advised.

The helicopter conveying Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has crash-landed in Kabba, Kogi State on Saturday afternoon According to information by Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) to the Vice President, the incident occurred on Saturday afternoon. A tweet by Akande read: “VP Osinbajo's Chopper crash lands in Kabba, but he and the entire crew safe. He is continuing with his engagements and plans for the day in Kogi State."

A faction of Afenifere, a pan Yoruba social-cultural group, on Tuesday in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari as its candidate for the February 16th election. The Senator Ayo Fasanmi-led faction said it took the decision because of Buhari’s sterling performances. At the endorsement which took place at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Chief Ayo Fasanmi, Deputy Governor of Lagos and Ogun States, Mrs. Idiat Adebule and Mrs. Yetunde Onanuga and former Minister, Demola Seriki who represented Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Traditional rulers at the event included the Ewi of Ado Ekiti Oba Rufus Adedejuyigbe; Akirun of Ikirun Oba Abioye Oyebode and Oniye of Iye Ekiti, Oba Adeleye Oni among others.
