The chief Imam of Quranic Central Mosque of Lagos Alhaji Abdul Rasheed Ajose and his executive committee has appointed Chief Lawal Babatunde Adams as IRAWO ADINNI of Quranic Central Mosque of Lagos.
In a letter signed by the General Secretary of the historic mosque Alhaji Prince Shakiru Giwa read ' having observed his contributions towards the growth and upliftment of Quranic Muslim Community in particular and Islam in general resolved to honour Lawal Babatunde Adams with the Chieftaincy title ' IRAWO ADINNI of Quranic Central Mosque of Lagos' which will be officially conferred on December 1st, 2019 as committee for the turbanning committee stated, having accepted the offer of appointment dated back 26th of June 2019.
Chief Lawal Babatunde Adams is a great historian, Sociologist. Scholar of high repute, writer/author, teacher and former lecturer at Lagos State University (LASU) before he moved to Toronto Ontario Canada as education consultant, Writer/author and public health administrator.
Chief Lawal Babatunde Adams is a community leader, the Kosemani of Oko Faji land and author of community books viz Eko Dynasty, Colonial Administrators And the Light Of Islam In Lagos, Okepopo and its people, Ita Tinubu, Oko Faji and environs and many more.
Speaking with Flycomnews on telephone Chief Adams accepted the Chieftaincy title, said it is the will of Allah for his efforts and contributions to propagating Islam in Lagos and the world at large.
He enjoined rich/gifted Muslims to serve Allah with what He has blessed them with. May Allah continue to bless this humble and pride of our valued Lagos State with good health and wealth.
