Sokoto Commissioner pledges more support for youths
The Sokoto State Commissioner of Science and Technology, Dr Kulu Abubakar, has pledged more support for youths to be self reliant in Nigeria.
Dr Abubakar made this known when she received an Award of Excellence from a youth organisation "Nigerian Peace Initiative for Peace and Good Governance" in her office in Sokoto State.
She said "considering the contribution of youths, it becomes necessary to carry them along and add their quota to the development of the society."
Dr Abbakar stated that "the award would serve as a motivation to her to redouble efforts in rendering more services to the community, Sokoto State and the country at large."
She stressed that the award would also go a long way in enabling her to continue to contribute more on the development of education and other sectors in the State.
The Commissioner commended the youth organisation for finding her worthy and choose her as one of the recognised individuals to be given the award.
Dr Abubakar urged the youth to promote the spirit of good governance and understanding among ethics group in the country for sustainable peace and development.
The National Secretary of the Organisation, Comrade Aminu Ado, said the commissioner deserved the honour as a result of her tremendous contribution to the common youth in the State.
Comrade Ado said Dr Abubakar is woman of hardworking which dedicated all her time to the services of humanity.
He encouraged her to continue with the gestures as more dividend and honours are under her way.
The National Secretary called on all public offices holders to imitate the Commissioner and rededicate more efforts while discharging their roles to promote active representation and fairness among the citizens.
