The Executive Chairman Lagos Island Local Government Hon Tijani Adetoyese Olusi, on Tuesday said curbing of corona virus people should strict to safety laid down rules and regulations by medical experts as directed by the government.

The Chairman, also said distribution of facemask and given public enlightenment essential at this critical time for the safety of our people.

According to information obtained from his official Facebook, Olusi writes, in furtherance to the curbing of community transmission of corona virus, and following the safety rules laid by the government, we have commenced the distribution of facemask and enlightenment of the populace on its importance; especially when outdoor.

There is sensitization on the new guidelines set to ease the lockdown for all activities in the council areas as follows;

• All commercial motorist mandated not to have more than 60% of vehicle capacity.
•Those business trading and wares will allow to trade on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
•All foods and farm produce sellers will operate on Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays.

He implored every one to adhere to this laid down rules, as defaulters will be prosecuted. The  well-being of the good people of Lagos Island is our utmost priority, and together; we can stop the spread of covid-19, Olusi said.

A faction of Afenifere, a pan Yoruba social-cultural group, on Tuesday in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari as its candidate for the February 16th election. The Senator Ayo Fasanmi-led faction said it took the decision because of Buhari’s sterling performances. At the endorsement which took place at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Chief Ayo Fasanmi, Deputy Governor of Lagos and Ogun States, Mrs. Idiat Adebule and Mrs. Yetunde Onanuga and former Minister, Demola Seriki who represented Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
