BREAKING: Onnoghen Loses Bid To Stop CCT Trial

The court of appeal sitting in Abuja has dismissed a motion filed by Walter Onnoghen, suspended chief justice of Nigeria, seeking stay of proceedings on his ongoing trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
The court dismissed the motion on Wednesday.

Onnoghen had approached  the court, arguing the CCT had no jurisdiction to preside over the case.

The federal government is prosecuting him for alleged false assets declaration.

Fidelity Bank empowers over 200 youth Gazelle Academy with entrepreneurial skills in Anambra State

Determined to reduce unemployment levels in the country, Fidelity Bank Plc, in partnership with Gazelle Academy and the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka on Friday concluded an entrepreneurship training programme for over 200 students in Anambra State. The programme which formally kicked off Wednesday ended with a call to Nigerian youths to embrace entrepreneurship and create wealth for themselves instead of searching endlessly for non-existing paid jobs. Organised under the Fidelity Youth Empowerment Academy (YEA 6), the programme seeks to empower the Nigerian undergraduate with vocational skills and enterprise training which are relevant for self-reliance.
