Judiciary Captured Under Buhari, Says Fayose On Ekiti Tribunal Judgement
Ayodele Fayose, former governor of Ekiti, says he’s not surprised by the verdict of the state’s governorship election tribunal on the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Kolapo Olusola.
Fayose alleged that the judgement was already in the public domain and celebrated by members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), more than a week before it was delivered.
The governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja had on Monday struck out Eleka’s case and ruled that Kayode Fayemi of the APC is the duly elected governor of Ekiti.
In a statement sent to TheCable by his media aide Lere Olayinka, the former governor said: “In fact, the judgement was in public domain and celebrated by APC since the last few days.
“The judgement will be appealed and the case pursued to the Supreme court, and justice will prevail ultimately.
“In the face of all these shenanigans, I still want to congratulate our candidate, my beloved deputy governor, Prof. Kolapo Olusola. Be assured victory is ahead.
“I enjoin Nigerians and Ekiti people to keep hope alive against perversion, suppression and gagging of judges and by extension the judiciary.”
