SANWO-OLU, FASHOLA, OSHOGWE & OTHERS TO DELIVER SPEECHES AT TREK AFRICA REAL ESTATE SUMMIT & EXPO.

The Honourable Minister for Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola will deliver the keynote speech at the Trek Africa Real Estate Summit and Expo'. Other distinguished guest speakers are the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Managing Director of Afriland Properties Plc, Uzo Oshogwe and Managing Director of Dradrock Real Estate Limited, Oladipo Pius Idowu-Agida to be Moderated by ESV. Ayodeji Amodu, Senior Special Assistant on Housing to the Governor of Lagos State.

The Summit which is set against the backdrop of the need to maximize the country’s material and human resources to meet the burgeoning housing needs of the Nigerian citizenry across the length and breadth of the nation will hold at the prestigious Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos on Friday, 20th March, 2020.

Speaking with newsmen in Lagos, the Project Director of the summit, Oki Samson said: ‘The theme of the summit is ‘Make Nigeria Livable: Building Safe and Secure Homes’. And it seeks to provide a viable investment platform for big time investors at home, Nigerians in the Diaspora, and foreign direct investors to make inroads into the burgeoning real estate market. It will also probe into how newest trends in technology can be deployed into facilitating effective land acquisition system, material analysis, structural testing procedures, and other technical processes in the industry.’

TARESExpo 2020 will engage key industry players, policy makers, investment bankers, and professional institutions to create impact in the vast Nigerian housing and real estate industry.

To lead the panel Discourse session on Government policy are the Ogun State Commissioner for Housing, Mr. Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi, Lagos State Commissioner for Housing, Mr. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai and Kwara State Commissioner for Transport and Works, Mr. Rotimi Suleiman under the Chairmanship of Chief Lanre Rasak, Chairman of Righteous Construction Company.

The helicopter conveying Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has crash-landed in Kabba, Kogi State on Saturday afternoon According to information by Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) to the Vice President, the incident occurred on Saturday afternoon. A tweet by Akande read: “VP Osinbajo's Chopper crash lands in Kabba, but he and the entire crew safe. He is continuing with his engagements and plans for the day in Kogi State."

2019: Afenifere Faction Endorses Buhari

A faction of Afenifere, a pan Yoruba social-cultural group, on Tuesday in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari as its candidate for the February 16th election. The Senator Ayo Fasanmi-led faction said it took the decision because of Buhari’s sterling performances. At the endorsement which took place at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Chief Ayo Fasanmi, Deputy Governor of Lagos and Ogun States, Mrs. Idiat Adebule and Mrs. Yetunde Onanuga and former Minister, Demola Seriki who represented Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Traditional rulers at the event included the Ewi of Ado Ekiti Oba Rufus Adedejuyigbe; Akirun of Ikirun Oba Abioye Oyebode and Oniye of Iye Ekiti, Oba Adeleye Oni among others.
