The political dimensions for 2023 Presidential election has being to show premature shapes as many political gladiators have been making statements, the most recent political Stakeholder to speak on the 2023 Presidency is Lanre Ogunyemi.

Ogunyemi who is, the Lagos State APC Secretary speaks  that if Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu decides to run for President in the next election it would not be out of place but support or his track record.

According to him, “Tinubu has all it takes to lead this country and he has every fundamental right as a Nigerian to aspire; it is now left for Nigerians to accept or not, it is now left for the party to decide who flags their ship as a Presidential candidate come 2023.

“Whichever way it goes, let us decide if it goes to the South; let us decide whether it goes to the South West or South East and what we look at is merit; who can take us to the place that Nigeria ought", stated Ogunyemi.

“If we find that in Bola Tinubu, why not, he doesn’t have to brief us, let’s keep watching the body language and see what will manifest in 2023. We are standing absolutely on his mandate”.

The helicopter conveying Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has crash-landed in Kabba, Kogi State on Saturday afternoon According to information by Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) to the Vice President, the incident occurred on Saturday afternoon. A tweet by Akande read: “VP Osinbajo's Chopper crash lands in Kabba, but he and the entire crew safe. He is continuing with his engagements and plans for the day in Kogi State."

2019: Afenifere Faction Endorses Buhari

A faction of Afenifere, a pan Yoruba social-cultural group, on Tuesday in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari as its candidate for the February 16th election. The Senator Ayo Fasanmi-led faction said it took the decision because of Buhari’s sterling performances. At the endorsement which took place at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Chief Ayo Fasanmi, Deputy Governor of Lagos and Ogun States, Mrs. Idiat Adebule and Mrs. Yetunde Onanuga and former Minister, Demola Seriki who represented Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Traditional rulers at the event included the Ewi of Ado Ekiti Oba Rufus Adedejuyigbe; Akirun of Ikirun Oba Abioye Oyebode and Oniye of Iye Ekiti, Oba Adeleye Oni among others.
