Coronavirus: Sale of face masks, hand sanitisers rise in Lagos |Flycomnews

Following confirmed outbreak of the coronavirus in Lagos state Nigeria most pharmaceutical stores in Lekki, Ikeja, Ikorodu, Apapa and Abuja experienced large patronage request for face mask, hand sanitisers, hand-washing soaps and gloves.
In early hours of today, after the first case of the disease was reported, people had come to request for these products as residents increase their level of preparedness of the outbreak of coronavirus in Nigeria.
When Flycomnews correspondent, Fashina Shakiru visits some of the pharmaceutical stores in Lagos, a pharmacist at Teen Pharmacy & Stores, says large turned out for sanitizers and face masks.
People requests for other diverse products like, health personnel protective equipment, hand-held infrared thermometer, among others, to help check the virus.
A pharmacist at HealthPlus Limited, Ikeja stated.“we sold about 20 hand sanitizers today as people still order for more.
The same situation also happened in another pharmacy.
However, Lagos state government says no cause for alarm as the patient in stable condition with no serious symptoms and is being treated at a hospital in the city.
